Hi all.
Allie and I along with the rest of the team have just returned back from Malaybalay. We had a very fruitful week and everyone has come back on cloud nine.
There will be some stories to post but just to let you know we had a day off yesterday and visited a lake where there were bamboo rafts with shelters fixed on them.... so we hired two for the team and 'played pirates'. Great fun!!
I'll post a couple of pics when I get more time.
God bless all.

Rose Jen’s story.
My name is Rosejean, I attend this YWAM outreach for the reason that I want to be the part of Gods work here in Philippines. This is my first time to be a volunteer so when my first day at the base was very strange for everyone because I don’t know them. But when the days go on we have a good communication with my co-volunteers.
I am a part of the IPHC team which is here from England and I interpret and share also for those people in the healthcare ministry.
My highlight of the outreach so far is when the IPHC team discovered a very malnourished boy named Luigi at Marcos Bridge area of Cagayan de Oro. We brought him to the hospital where he is admitted to be fed and cared for. It is likely that he would have died if we did not find him.
I met a lady whose baby had difficulty breathing. I told the lady to call to Jesus to make your baby safe and she just nodded her head. I then went out and prayed for the baby at a distance for a complete healing and to sleep well. About twenty minutes later I met the lady in the walkway of the hospital and she smiled at me and told me that her baby was sleeping well and breathing ok now.
I just thank God for using me in that situation and it is a real privilege for me for God to use me in that way.
I look forward to more opportunities where God can use me again.
Amen.
We are a couple made out of two nations: Azersbaijan and Uzbekistan. April 2006 we joined CDTS at The King’s Lodge. We had three months lecture phase in England. Then we headed Philippines for our outreach.
In the Philippines we have spent two months. We were able to see God’s work there. The mega-outreach we joined there was both challenging and a lot of priceless experience for two of us. This outreach has helped us so much even in our marriage. We have been learning to serve God as a couple. It is such a privilege for us to be a part of what God is stirring up in this nation.
We would like to share one story where God used us and our team. Once during our door-to-door ministry in Villanuava we visited one house. There was one lady sitting who was busy with her nine month old boy in her tiny boxy house. Her name is Mimi and her son’s name is Kalil. Her son had been suffering with diaherria for two weeks then. Mimi said that they did not have money to go the clinic. We talked to our leader and got some money, and took her with her boy to the local clinic. Praise God that in that clinic they knew our IPHC team that was working with them then. We were able to see a doctor. She gave a prescription. After that we bought the needed medication for that boy. A few days later we felt in our team that God was willing to bless that family. By the way, we forgot to mention that Mimi’s husband Marven was a driver of motorcy-cub (which is one of the local transportation – motor taxi). Marven makes around 40 pesos (approximately 40 British pence) a day. And a kilo of rice costs here 25 pesos. Back to our offerings: we were able to collect over a thousand pesos amongst us. We bought rice, noodles, tin-fish, children’s food, coffee, shampoo, soap and some other necessities in the market. We brought all that to that family. They were so happy. Mimi said “God is so good to us!”. It was awesome to see their joy and smiles that day. They also came to our Saturday celebration at the local gym where we worshipped God and could experience His presence. Marven accepted Jesus that night. Three days later Mimi invited Jesus into her heart after we had had a bible study – a small church gathering – in their tiny wooden house.
We have so many stories from this outreach. If there is another chance to share with you more some time later we would be thrilled to do it . My husband and I are so happy to be involved in inviting people into His Kingdom. Rom.10:15 …”How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

Fooling around and biking on the island of Camiguin on one of our days off was great - even though we did ride the motorbikes through absolute torrential rain to get to the sunken cemetery and have a swim. Had to put completely soggy clothes and shoes on after the swim……..yuk.
Photo of Steinar, from Norway, Jack and Nethers from Hinckley, England and me.
Just had to include the funny hats.
The funny looking guy with curly hair is Joey – one of the Filipino leaders here. A real cool dude and great fun to have around.
The waterfall was very difficult to get close to on the inflatable and so loud. It hurt a little too!
Get the picture of outreach??
Four weeks ago, Kit, one of the Filipino guys with us asked if we could go to his old high school for a campus ministry.
Sure. Why not?
We need to go seek permission from the principal. But first we had to go see Madame Mayor to let her now first our intentions.
So off we went, Kit, Sheila and I a short time later to speak to Madame Mayor and then onto the principal of the high school at Looc (pronounced Lo – ock).
“Absolutely no problem at all”. They both said. The principal, Mr Loreto said “you come tomorrow?” (Wednesday)
“I think we need a little more time to prepare – how about Thursday afternoon? Four o’clock? For one hour.”
“No problem at all” he said, “You can use the stage and our sound system”.
Wow! That was easy. High wide did God just open that door??
The first time at the school was great fun. Jack and Nethers were thought to be rock stars, such was the screams. We had the kids do a drama, we had two testimonies, a story by Joan(America) and a short message from Mirkhan(Uzbekistan). Kids were prayed with afterward for all sorts and kids were invited to the celebration on the Saturday. To which some did actually come and had a great time.
The following Thursday at the school was just awesome. Dramas, dance, testimony and a message brought about conversations at the end where nine girls gave their lives to Jesus. How cool is that?!!! Party time in Heaven!!!
The photo is of the nine girls Kit and I had the privilege of leading to the Lord that day. Each of them was also given a bible there and then.
This week will be our third visit at the school. Please pray for more anointing of the Holy Spirit and that we will see more fruit.
Overall the outreach team is making a big impact here. The enemy doesn’t like it and is trying to rob many people of living in the knowledge of the success this sort of outreach brings when the team is focussed and Jesus centred, overcoming tiredness, and laying down of the individuals will to be obedient to the call of God day by day.
Please keep praying for us all.

Hi all.
This is me two weeks ago during a walk around one of the areas in Villanueva. This snake is a carpet python apparently and weighs 32kg. It gets fed once a month. You don't want to know what it gets fed on.
Anyway, all is well but getting testimonies out of people for this site is like the proverbial blood/stone scenario.
We are preparing for the celebration which takes place tomorrow evening (Saturday), and it's going to be in the municipal gymnazium which holds around three thousand people. Hopefully we can fill it with visitors. We should get quite a few from the school we went to yesterday as Jack and Nethers were star attractions yet again. (I might not take them again, too distracting for the locals).
Nethers got up to give a testimony and he thought Robby Williams had walked on behind him, such was the cheer from the students.
Kerry is eighteen today.
None of the kids really want to go home next week. We will really miss them being part of the team here.
Stuart and Mary Ullyatt arrived the other day and have jumped straight in as we knew they would.
Please pray for Allie as she has a stinking head cold today.
Got to go.
Other things to do.
Love to all.

Hi Kev C
Sorry to keep you waiting. Internet access isn't as easy this year but it is starting to happen now. So sorry you are not with us this year. I think it is hotter than last.
Hi Ali
I'll get Jack to write. Or I'll beat him with a stick, or drown him in the pool, or make him go without food, or just tell him he won't be able to come again if he doesn't write to his mum.......whichever does the trick.
Hi Heidi
Kerry is , as predicted, wanting to stay for the second month. I'll just have to give her the hug for you. Hope you don't mind.
Hi Leigh and Mandy
Nethers is doing very well and seems to be enjoying his time here very much. Getting involved in the open air dramas and house to house visits. He gets on well with everyone here.
He and Jack are star attractions because they are tall (and guapo). Apparrently.
Love to you all.

Hi all from hot and very humid Cagayan de Oro - Philippines
Outreach is going all out now and we have come tothe end of our first full ministry week. Everyone has worked very hard and God has opened many doors.
Our ministry team had an open air meeting last night in a hosing area called Vilia Mila.
Set up on a basketball court we had worship, dramas, testimonies and a gospel message. All which went very well until the last dance which was done in almost complete darkness.
Afterwards we were able to talk with folk all around. Kit (one of the Filipinos with us) and I went to talk with five guys who had been sitting to the side but had watched all and heard all that was said.
Aged between 18 to 26, after a while thay all accepted Jesus as Lord in their lives Hallelujah!!!!! and have asked for me and Kit to go back to see them to talk more about Jesus and how to read the bible. We are hoping to see them at the celebration tonight where we will arrange a suitable schedule for their discipleship training while we are here. Praise God.
And this is jst one of many stories we hope to be posting. Alison is now collating testimonies to post in this blog site for your encouragement and for you to stand with us in prayer for more of the same.

This last week we have had freak weather conditions. Just down the coast from us a village was hit by a typhoon and over eighty homes were affected. Some completely destroyed. With the help of the local government, Madam Mayor and other local officials we were able to provide a bag of food basics and clothing to these families. This opened the way for the whole team, all 80 of us, to minister to this group of people. We gave Bibles and showed them how to read Gods word. We prayed with the families of the surrounding homes as well. The health team set up a wound clinic in the middle of the village and saw many people that needed basic first aid and wound care.
We thank God for this opportunity as this was not an area that we were going to work in originally but God has opened up this place to us and we look forward to going back.
This has been out first Sunday with the full team, we were joined on Friday by 25 Filipinos, with us splitting up into 8 smaller teams to visit local churches. Most of us will have the chance to preach but all of us have the opportunity to give testimonies in local churches.

Only just over a week now until Allie and I go to the Philippines. God has been so gracious to the both of us to enable us both to go. I have the time off for this outreach written into my employee contract as an annual event and Allie has now got the time off as unpaid leave after expecting to have to resign her position - they said they want her back, gave her a pay rise and will keep her job open for her. How cool is that?????!!! Praise God.
Fran is now looking forward to coming with us after much persuation and Charlotte will be house and cat sitting while we are away.
Allie and I go next Sunday 18th to begin the preperations for receiving about 60 people coming from the UK and 25 Filippinos will be joining us.
Please pray for practical wisdom for Allie and I as we make these preparations regarding our meeting rooms, accommodation (who's sharing with who etc) and how we are to set out our daily and weekly diary of events for when everyone arrives.
I am doing the 3 peak challenge this weekend to raise money for the trip and your prayers for that also would be appreciated. I need lots of energy. I hear jelly babies on a drip feed does the trick! The pic above is me at the top of Scafell Pike on the training day. Cold. Wet. Completely nackered. I was looking forward to a nice view but we didn't even get that. Oh well!!
God bless all.
I am now looking forward to posting testimonies on a daily basis of Gods grace and of people being saved. I trust we are all ready for what God has for us on this outreach and what He has for those we are going to be sharing Jesus with.
We all need your prayers.
