This last week we have had freak weather conditions. Just down the coast from us a village was hit by a typhoon and over eighty homes were affected. Some completely destroyed. With the help of the local government, Madam Mayor and other local officials we were able to provide a bag of food basics and clothing to these families. This opened the way for the whole team, all 80 of us, to minister to this group of people. We gave Bibles and showed them how to read Gods word. We prayed with the families of the surrounding homes as well. The health team set up a wound clinic in the middle of the village and saw many people that needed basic first aid and wound care.
We thank God for this opportunity as this was not an area that we were going to work in originally but God has opened up this place to us and we look forward to going back.

This has been out first Sunday with the full team, we were joined on Friday by 25 Filipinos, with us splitting up into 8 smaller teams to visit local churches. Most of us will have the chance to preach but all of us have the opportunity to give testimonies in local churches.
